Expression profiles of the YSL genes of maize under iron/zinc deficiency. A heatmap of the relative expression patterns of the 19 ZmYSL genes in the root and shoot of maize at the three-leaf stage. The seedlings were treated in the Hoagland nutrient solution without iron and zinc for 0, 6, 12, 24, 48, and 96 h. ZmActin1 was used as the reference gene. The relative expression value was normalized through the gene expression value at 0 h. The color bar on the right of the heatmap indicates the change; green represents inhibition under the deficiency conditions, black represents no change, and red represents induction under deficiency conditions
