Distribution of plants with different severity of Flavescence dorée symptoms in ‘Pinot gris’ and ‘Tocai friulano’. Ten plants per variety were surveyed in July and September of the first year of appearance of symptoms. Three classes of disease were considered: (Class 1) symptoms limited to a small part of one 2-year-old arm (blank); (Class 2) symptoms in most of one 2-year-old arm (grey); (Class 3) both 2-year-old arms with Flavescence dorée symptoms (black)
