Expression of the tomato TCI21 (A) and PR1 (B) genes in wild type plants (WT) and the RNAi_SlS5H (lines 14 and 16) transgenic tomato plants in control (CONTROL) and wounded (WOUND) plants. Samples were taken 24 h after wounding; CONTROL represents the non-wounded plants. The qRT-PCR values were normalized with the level of expression of the actin gene. The expression levels correspond to the mean ± the standard error of a representative experiment (n = 3).
