Representation of the number of features of interest (potential metabolites). The features of interests were delineated by Volcano plot analysis and correspond to potential metabolites differentially regulated according to the fold change (FC, cut-off value 1.5) and results of the t-tests (P ≤ 0.05) for each category comparison. The samples corresponding to the 6- and 24-hour time points were pooled together for the statistical analysis. Three comparisons were performed: chitosan (samples W_T compared with C_T, number of features significantly up- or down-regulated by chitosan), F. graminearum (samples W_T compared with W_F, number of features significantly up- or down-regulated by F. graminearum) and chitosan + F. graminearum (samples W_T compared with C_F, number of features significantly up- or down-regulated by chitosan + F. graminearum).
