Fig. 1

Phylogenetic relationship of Alba proteins from tomato and different organisms. The phylogenetic tree was constructed by the neighbor-joining method in MEGA6 software with 1000 bootstrap replicates using full-length Alba protein sequences. The Alba family proteins were clustered into three distinct families: archaeal Alba family, RPP20-like family and RPP25-like family. A species acronym was added before each Alba protein name: Sl, Solanum lycopersicum; St, Solanum tuberosum; At, Arabidopsis thaliana; Vv, Vitis vinifera; Ca, Cicer arietinum; Os, Oryza sativa; Zm, Zea mays; Sb, Sorghum bicolor; Amtr, Amborella trichopoda; Pp, Physcomitrella patens; Cre, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; Sso, Sulfolobus solfataricus; Ssh, S. shibitae; Ap, Aeropyrum pernix; Pho, Pyrococcus horikoshii; Mth, Methanobacterium thermoautotrophicum; Mja, Methanococcus jannaschii; Mma, Methanococcus maripaludis; Af, Archaeoglobus fulgidus; Pa, Pyrobaculum aerophilum and Ta, Thermoplasma acidophilum
