From: Tomato Sl3-MMP, a member of the Matrix metalloproteinase family, is required for disease resistance against Botrytis cinerea and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000

Fig. 2

Expression patterns of Sl-MMPs in response to B. cinerea or P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000 treatment. Tomato plants were inoculated by spore suspension (2 × 105 spores/ml) of B. cinerea or buffer solution as a mock-inoculation control (a) and by vacuum infiltration with P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000 (OD600 = 0.0002) or sterilized 10 mM MgCl2 solution as a mock-inoculation control (b). Leaf samples were collected at indicated time points and gene expression was analyzed by qRT-PCR. Relative expression levels were calculated by comparing with the corresponding values at 0 h (as a control) after inoculation and shown as folds of the actin transcript values. Data presented are the means ± SD from three independent experiments and different letters above the columns indicate significant differences at p < 0.05 level
