Plants under water deficit. Non-transgenic (WT) and transgenic plants expressing SnOLP after withholding water for seven days. Eight non-transgenic Bragg plants and eight T5 transgenic homozygous plants from each transgenic line (B1 and B3) were grown in 1-L plastic pots for 26 days in a greenhouse. Plants were assessed for tolerance to water deficit stress by withholding irrigation and were monitored daily for wilting.
