Schematic overview of the structure of hAT transposase genes . hAT transposase genes possess an N-terminal NLS, followed by a BED-type zinc finger domain and conserved hAT-blocks A until F. The last three hAT blocks (D F) make up the hAT dimerization domain. Three highly conserved motifs (1–3) were identified by aligning all SLEEPERs from Arabidopsis thaliana, Vitis vinifera and Oryza sativa. SLEEPERmotifs are depicted using Weblogo 3.0 [40].
