Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis analyses of shoot proteins in Shanyou 10 and Liangyoupeijiu. Rice shoot proteins separated by IEF/SDS-PAGE were stained with silver nitrate. (A) Total protein (120 μg) from rice shoots of Shanyou 10 treated with 100 mM NaCl was loaded onto a 17-cm IPG gel with pH 5-8. SDS-PAGE (12% gel) was used in the second-dimension separation. Gels were stained with silver nitrate solution. Numbers on the right represent apparent molecular masses. Numbers above gels represent isoelectric point range of separated proteins.
