Relative quantification of the Flavescence dorée phytoplasma (FDp), expressed as arbitrary units (log2), in different symptomatic and asymptomatic parts of the 2-year-old arms in ‘Pinot gris’ and ‘Tocai friulano’ infected grapevines. Samples were collected in July, when typical symptoms of Flavescence dorée became clear (dark bars), and in November, during dormancy (grey bars). Each value represents the mean ± SE of a variable number of biological replicates (from 5 to 10). Significant differences are indicated by different letters, as determined by the Student-Newman-Keuls test (P ≤ 0,05)
