  1. Data are mean ± standard deviation values of nine measurements from three biological replicates and three technical replicates of the control (not treated with melatonin) and various 10 µM melatonin treatment timing (Days 0,7, and 14) groups. All groups were harvested on day 28. The relative yield (relative intensity/L) was obtained by multiplying the relative levels and total dry weight (g/L). Superscript characters (a, b, and c) indicate statistically significant differences evaluated using the Kruskal-Wallis test followed by the Mann-Whitney test as a post hoc analysis with Bonferroni’s correction (p < 0.0083)
