From: Role of cassava CC-type glutaredoxin MeGRXC3 in regulating sensitivity to mannitol-induced osmotic stress dependent on its nuclear activity

Fig. 4

MeGRXC3 interacts with Arabidopsis TGA2 and TGA5 in the nucleus. (a) Identification of the interaction between MeGRXC3P65L and four TGA factors from Arabidopsis by yeast two-hybrid assay. DDO: SD/−Leu/−Trp, QDO/X/A: SD/−Ade/−His/−Leu/−Trp with X-alpha-Gal and Aureobasidin A. (b) Bimolecular fluorescence complementation assay of the interaction between MeGRXC3 and TGA2, TGA5 in transiently transformed N. benthaminan leaves. Green fluorescence in the nucleus was detected for interactions of MeGRXC3 with TGA2 or TGA5, respectively. As a negative control, co-expression of MeGRXC3:YN/YC with non-fused YC/YN failed to reconstitute a fluorescent YFP chromophore. Green fluorescence in the nucleus was detected for TGA2:GFP and TGA5:GFP as positive controls
