The distribution of the sampled five taxa of Rhododendron. Three parent species (R. spiciferum, R. spinuliferum, R. scabrifolium) and two types of hybrids (R. ×duclouxii, and the novel hybrid [SN×SA: R. spinuliferum × R. scabrifolium]) were found in a natural hybrid zone in Yunnan province, China. Samples were collected from six plots within the hybrid zone in this study.
