Western-blot analyses of plasma membrane intrinsic proteins (PIPs) in well-aerated trembling aspen (P. tremuloides) plants (A), well-aerated plants treated with ethylene (AE), plants exposed to hypoxia (H) and in plants subjected to hypoxia and ethylene treatment (HE) for one week. Results from two independent biological replicates of each treatment are shown in the figure. Antibodies against Zea mays PIP1 and PIP2 were used for the immunodetection.
