MtNIP5;1 expression is induced under B deficiency. a mRNA accumulation was quantified by qPCR in roots, shoots, and nodules of plants fertilized with N or growing under symbiotic conditions. Plants grew under a B gradient consisting of the following treatments: control conditions (0.1 mM B [OH3]), deficiency (0 mM B [OH3]), or B toxicity (1 mM B [OH3]). Data are the Mean ± SD of two independent experiments with, at least, four pooled plants and four biological replicates (n = 4). Different letters indicate significant differences (One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey test, p < 0.05). MtNIP5;1 expression is presented as expression relative values to the internal gene Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 1. b-i Tissue expression localization of pMtNIP5;1::GUS appears at the vasculature and is induced under B deficiency.
