The qRT-PCR-assisted transcriptional characterization of the amino acid permease (AAP) genes in Brassica napus under different phosphate (Pi) levels. Differential expression of the BnaAAP1 (a), BnaAAP2 (b), BnaAAP3 (c), BnaAAP4 (d), BnaAAP5 (e), BnaAAP6 (f), BnaAAP7 (g) and BnaAAP8 (h) genes under high (+, 250 μM) phosphate and low (−, 5 μM) phosphate levels. For the transcriptional analysis, the 7-d-old uniform B. napus seedlings after seed germination were first hydroponically grown under 250 μM phosphate (KH2PO4) for 10 d, and then were transferred to 5 μM phosphate for 3 d until sampling. The shoots and roots were individually sampled, and each sample includes three independent biological replicates. The significance level of P < 0.05 is used as the threshold to identify the differential BnaAAP expression under high and low phosphate treatments. The differentially expressed genes with higher expression between different treatments in the shoots or roots are indicated with asterisks
