Expression analysis of OsS40 genes in response to M. oryzae infection. a Phenotype of the leaves from 3 to 4 leaf stage of rice seedlings infected by M. oryzae strain Guy11. The infected leaves were excised and scanned at 24 hpi, 48 hpi, 72 hpi, 96 hpi and 108hpi. As a control the rice seedlings were sprayed with the 0.02% (w/v) Tween 20 solution only (Mock). hpi, hours post-inoculation. b qRT-PCR analysis of the ten differentially expressed OsS40 genes along with the defense-related marker genes, NAC4 and WRKY45, for pathogen treatment.
