OsRH58-expressing transgenic plants are tolerant against drought stress. The wild type (WT) and OsRH58-expressing transgenic Arabidopsis plants (OX1, OX2, and OX3) were grown on MS medium containing 300 mM mannitol, and (a) seedling fresh weight and (b) root length were measured after 3 weeks and 2 weeks, respectively. c Two-week-old seedlings in soil were unwatered for 4 days, and survival rates were scored at 1 week after recovery.
