Lateral root growth is mainly promoted by risen-expression of miR390 controlled by auxin under normal conditions, meanwhile miR393 just lurks as a potentially regulative role; When plants are exposed to ABA and various stresses, miR393 is then induced to suppress lateral root growth by inhibiting the expression of miR390
