The red and blue color referred to up and down regulation, respectively. Shades change was related to fold change. Notice samples with 49 days after the start point of oil accumulation in Tree L were separated from the other 18 samples in all the four heatmaps except the heatmap for fatty acid synthesis which were clustered together with the samples at 7 days after the start point of oil accumulation from Tree L and H only accumulating a few of oil.
