Performance of M. persicae on eight accessions after adaptation on C. baccatum. Aphids were reared on accession PB2013046. Performance parameters used: survival of the original nymphs (blue column) and the number of next generation nymphs produced (red column). Survival was determined by dividing the number of living aphids by the total number of aphids (dead and alive) in the clip cage. The number of next generation nymphs was divided by the average number of living aphids present, calculated as (2* living aphids + dead aphids)/2. Each bar represents the mean values ± SD.
