From: Shoot iron status and auxin are involved in iron deficiency-induced phytosiderophores release in wheat

Fig. 3

Effect of ethylene inhibitors supply on wheat plants under iron deficiency. Harvest were performed at 4, 72 and 96Ā h of treatment, which corresponded to the three columns per treatment (a) Phytosiderophores (PS) release by Fe sufficient plants (+Fe), Fe-starved plants (-Fe), and Fe-starved plants plus ethylene inhibitors: STS (100Ā Ī¼M), Co2+ (5Ā Ī¼M) plants in Ī¼M (assuming a Fe-PS chelation 1:1) per g of root fresh weight. Average of 3 replicates with 20 plants each. pā€‰<ā€‰0.05 (Fisher LSD test). b Relative root TaNAAT gene expression in Fe sufficient plants (+Fe), Fe-starved plants (-Fe), and Fe-starved plants plus ethylene inhibitors: STS (100Ā Ī¼M), Co2+ (5Ā Ī¼M) plants. Average of 3 replicates with 20 plants each. pā€‰<ā€‰0.05 (Tukey HSD test)
