Accumulation of shikonin in the hairy roots was analyzed by HPLC. After transgenic hairy root were cultured in B5 liquid medium for 2 weeks, MDRO, EV, and MDRi hairy root lines were transferred to M9 liquid medium in the dark for 6 days. a Expression analysis of LeMDR in MDRO, EV and MDRi hairy roots by real-time PCR, and the housekeeping gene GAPDH was used as control. b HPLC analysis of shikonin content in MDRO, EV and MDRi hairy roots.
