Assay for salt stress tolerance of SiLEA14 transformed E. coli . Transformant E. coli (BL21) with pET30a-SiLEA14 were grown on LB plates with or without 600 mM NaCl and KCl for 12 and 24 h, respectively. Transformant with empty vector pET30a(+) was used as a control. The number of colonies on the plate was calculated. The 200×, 500×, 1000×, 2000× and 4000× represent the dilution fold. Bar = 1 cm. Data represent means and standard errors for three biological replicates. Statistical significance was determined by Student’s t-test. **P #x003C; 0.01.
