- Cauliflower plants were grown in potting soil and possessed three true leaves at the time of artificial inoculation with wheat kernels colonized by Rhizoctonia. Evaluation was performed at three different time points using a 0-to-4 scale: 0 = healthy, no symptoms; 1 = HR-like spots or resistant lesions; 2 = HR-like spots + small susceptible reactions (< 2 mm); 3 = small susceptible reactions (< 2 mm) and 4 = large susceptible reactions (> 2 mm). Statistical analysis was performed on pooled data from two experiments, because interaction between AG and experiment was not significant and variations were homogeneous.
