  1. Cauliflower plants were grown in potting soil and possessed three true leaves at the time of artificial inoculation with wheat kernels colonized by Rhizoctonia. Evaluation was performed at three different time points using a 0-to-4 scale: 0 = healthy, no symptoms; 1 = HR-like spots or resistant lesions; 2 = HR-like spots + small susceptible reactions (< 2 mm); 3 = small susceptible reactions (< 2 mm) and 4 = large susceptible reactions (> 2 mm). Statistical analysis was performed on pooled data from two experiments, because interaction between AG and experiment was not significant and variations were homogeneous. Different letters indicate statistically significant differences between AGs according to non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests (α = 0.05). *Negative significant correlation between average rank and disease severity index at 6 dpi according to Spearman's rho coefficient of -0.958 (p = 0.01). nd = not determined
