From: Comparative transcriptomic characterization of aluminum, sodium chloride, cadmium and copper rhizotoxicities in Arabidopsis thaliana

Figure 1

Scatter plot of competitive microarray data from roots of Arabidopsis subjected to rhizotoxins. Roots of hydroponically grown seedlings were transferred to control (pH 5.0, no toxicant) and rhizotoxic solutions containing AlCl3 (25 μM), NaCl (50 mM), CdCl2 (15 μM) or CuCl2 (1.6 μM) at pH 4.95 (Al) or 5.0 (Others). After 24 h, total RNA was extracted and microarray analyses were performed using the Agilent Arabidopsis 2 Oligo Microarray system. X and Y axes indicate signal intensities in control and rhizotoxic treatments, respectively. Mean of signal intensities from three biologically independent replications are plotted. Fold change (treatment/control) is indicated by color as shown in the color bar in the right side of the panels. Slope of lines in each panel show 3, 1 and 1/3 fold changes, respectively.
