Induced expression of WRKY3 and WRKY4. Five-week-old Arabidopsis plants (Col-0) were sprayed with either 1% maltose (mock) or Botrytis, infiltrated with 10 mM MgCl₂ or PstDC3000 (OD₆₀₀ = 0.0001 in 10 mM MgCl₂) or sprayed with H₂O, SA (1 mM), methylJA (100 μM) or ACC (2 mM). The infiltrated or sprayed leaves were collected at indicated times after treatment for RNA isolation. RNA gel blot analysis was performed with a ³²P-labeled probe for WRKY3 (A) or WRKY4 (B). The experiments were repeated two times with similar results.
