  1. Six-day-old etiolated seedlings were exposed to low light for 5 min and were returned to dark conditions. The seedlings after a 1 or 3 day additional dark incubation period were subsequently harvested under dark conditions. Their extracts were analyzed for their protochlorophyllide composition by HPLC analysis (n = 3). The n.d. abbreviation indicates "not detected".
