All modules bind to border pit chambers in earlywood and to the latewood lumen wall in pine (blue arrows). Pink arrows show staining of G-layers with wt CBM4-2 and X-6 in birch and poplar cell walls (D, F, J, L), a staining that was not observed with X-2 and X-13 (G, I, M, O; white arrowheads).
