Characterization of HMW-GSs isolated from Aegilops sect. sitopsis species. (a) SDS-PAGE analysis revealed that both x-type and y-type HMW GSs (marked by arrow and triangle, respectively) are expressed in three Aegilops accessions and all six subunits have the molecular weights larger than those of Chinese Spring. (b) The complete DNA ORFs of both x-type and y-type HMW-GSs were amplified from S genome.
