The TGA family plays an important role in resistance induced by MeJA. (a) Interaction of BOP1 and BOP2 in the yeast two hybrid system in presence of several npr1 alleles cloned in a third plasmid. NPR1 is included as control, the next three alleles do not respond to MeJA in defense, and the remaining three respond as wild type. The interaction is measured in Miller Units [55]. (b) Null alleles of several TGAs alleles were analyzed as in Figure 1. tga2,5,6 stands for the triple tga2 tga5 tga6. One asterisk means a significant difference with P<0.05, and two asterisks means P<0.01 (Student’s test of one tail). (c) Interaction between BOP1 and TGA2, and TGA6 in the yeast two hybrid system in the presence of the same npr1 alleles of (a). Means with the same letter are not significantly different (Fisher's LSD test, P<0.05).
