Expression of CCII and potato multicystatin in leaves of transgenic potato lines. A. CCII and ccii transcript levels in leaves of control line K and five independent transgenic lines, as determined by SELDI TOF MS and real-time RT PCR. mRNA transcripts were quantified based on a standard curve with incremental amounts of ccii transgene as a template. CCII levels are expressed as relative amounts compared to line 4.1c (mean value of 1.0). B. Immunodetection of CCII (11.7 kDa) with primary antibodies directed against oryzacystatin I, a structural homologue from rice [22]. Numbers on the right refer to commercial molecular weight markers.
