Amylolytic activity levels measured as μg of maltose per mg of fresh weight released per minute at different days post partial defoliation (dppd) in source leaves of intact control and defoliated Amaranthus cruentus plants. Defoliation was produced either by insect herbivory (HD) or mechanical damage (MD). For further details refer to Figure 1.
