(A) Expression levels of EF1α and HMGR genes in response to JA determined by real-time qPCR and semi-qPCR analysis. Thirty-day-old plantlets of Atractylodes lancea were incubated with 5-mm mycelia disks; 0.01, 0.1, or 1 mmol L-1 JA; or 1 mmol L-1 IBU and harvested 18 d later for total RNA extraction and PCR analysis. Values are means ± SE (n = 3). Asterisks indicate significant differences (t-test; *, P <0.05; **, P <0.01). (B) Effects of JA on sesquiterpenoid accumulation.
