For each stress responsive sub-set of genes, the proportion of transcripts that i) have orthologous genes responding in a similar way (Up/Down-regulated in A & R; red/blue), ii) have orthologous genes responding in an opposite manner (e.g. up-regulated in rice and down-regulated in Arabidopsis; denoted Opposite response; purple), iii) have orthologous genes unchanging in the respective other species and iv) do not have orthologues (grey) is shown. The total number of genes in each sub-set is also shown next to each of the bars.
