Phylogenetic tree of OsIRO3-like bHLHs with known bHLH transcription factors that function in the Fe deficient response. bHLH transcription factors from Arabidopsis and rice were subjected to the neighbor-joining algorithm phylogenetic tree construction using MEGA software version 4.1 [37] with default settings. The amino acid sequences used to generate this phylogenetic analysis are listed in Additional file 1.
