Enzymatic activities of OsRibA proteins. MBP-tagged N-terminal OsRibA proteins were overexpressed in E. coli and purified by FPLC. Coomassie staining following SDS-PAGE detects enriched recombinant A) OsRibA1 and B) OsRibA2 proteins in selected FPLC fractions. FT, Flow through; F1-F4, fraction 1 to 4. The obtained fractions (5μg/μL) were assayed in vitro for C) GTPCHII and D) DHBPS enzymatic activities. Standard errors are indicated, but only visible in OsRibA2 tested for DHBPS enzyme activity (N = 3)
